Szombathely
The Savaria Campus, a college of the University of Western Hungary is a significant higher education institution in Szombathely. Its predecessor in title was the Berzsenyi Dániel College. In 2008, the Berzsenyi Dániel College accreted with the University of Western Hungary, and its new name is Savaria Campus (Savaria Egyetemi Központ – SEK). The Savaria Campus celebrates its 50th birthday in 2009.
The Campus has three faculties: the faculty of sciences, the faculty of arts and the faculty of physical educations, visual arts and music. More than 5000 students are studying here. The college has given thousands of highly trained professionals to the fields of education, science, and public administration alike. Three student hostels belong to the college.
The Department of Library and Information Science is a popular department with a high quality of education. The students can make their masters degree here. One of the main subjects is the management of knowledge.

Oslo
Oslo University College (OUC) is the largest state university college in Norway. The college in its current form was established in 1994, and is situated centrally in Norway's capital.
The library and information science programme, which offers BA and MA degrees, is connected to the faculty of Journalism, Library and Information science. As well as learning classification and cataloguing, the students receive a strong footing in information technology and literature. As an aside, in 2010 library education will enjoy its 70th anniversary in Norway.
This is the third time OUC students have participated in arranging the BOBCATSSS conference.

Eisenstadt
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme Information Studies in Eisenstadt is one of the BA and MA degree programmes offered at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland.
Established in 1997, this is Austria’s only course for internationally oriented information professionals. Students get a profound knowledge of researching, structuring and distributing information using modern communication technology. Occupational fields, graduates can opt for, range from librarianship and multi-media documentation to online journalism and business information management.
As project management is also an integral part of this study programme, students conduct projects to gain practical experience for their future professions. Within the framework of a training project, a team of students participates in organising BOBCATSSS 2011.
